Why Melissa?

Sideline Sports Medicine is run by Melissa Frixione, an Athletic Trainer with over two decades of athletic experience and ten years of formal strength and performance training education beyond her MS in Sports Medicine. She describes her work as a blend of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, human connection, and injury recovery — the "Swiss Army Knife of Sports Medicine."

Beyond her professional role, Melissa is an active Jiu Jitsu competitor and dedicated weightlifter, and she draws on these personal athletic pursuits to inform her coaching philosophy. Her core mission is to keep athletes performing at their highest level for as long as possible, offering services to individuals as well as schools, clubs, teams, and other organizations through bulk and injury prevention programs.
